Business Safety Plan

Updated October 13, 2021.

Based on guidelines from PPA (Professional Photographers of America)

Adherence to CDC, State and Local Guidelines

The highest priority for Terri Burke, Photographer is the safety and health of everyone who works with or in my business. I have reviewed the guidelines as set forth by the CDC (Center for Disease Control), the state of North Carolina and PPA (Professional Photographers of America) in formulating the following protocols to help prevent the spread of illness while conducting business. I believe that by following the guidelines outlined below I can continue to serve my clients as safely as possible.

Above all, as a professional photographer, I believe in being a good community citizen. I will work cooperatively with state and local leaders to provide a safe environment for all. These policies can and will change based on the latest recommendations from the relevant authorities.

I will make every effort to be upfront with my clients at the time of scheduling and throughout the process of working together.

Guidelines to Prevent the Spread of Illness

By Appointment Only

All sessions will be scheduled outdoors when feasible. Private indoor locations can be used upon agreement by all parties. Public indoor locations will be evaluated on a case by case basis according to prevailing CDC and local guidelines for masking and for their ability to allow for reasonable physical distancing during a session.

Only one client/family will be gathered in the immediate vicinity for a session at a time. All sessions will be scheduled to avoid interaction between clients and to allow time for any necessary sanitization. We will attempt to work in locations that are not crowded to maintain a safe distance from any people who are not part of our session.

For entrepreneurs who need to include other individuals in their session for any reason, we will address the situation on a case by case basis to determine the best way to create the desired images and maintain the safety of all participants.

Planning meetings, reveal appointments and any other interactions may be conducted by phone or video conferencing (using zoom). Pick-up or delivery arrangements for any physical products can be made using contactless practices and outdoors upon request.

Physical Distancing / No Touch

During sessions, we will maintain reasonable physical distancing, using no-touch posing methods.

Personal Protective Equipment

I will have a mask available during any in-person client interaction. I will wear it should the need arise to be closer than 6’ to clients.

Adherence to Sanitation Protocols

Standard sanitation protocols prior to each client will include, but not be limited to:

  • Washing hands regularly before, during and after photographic sessions, or using hand sanitizer if hand washing is unavailable

  • Sanitization of all props, chairs and benches with which a client may come into contact

Health of Photographer

I, Terri Burke, have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. I will wash my hands regularly and wear a mask according to prevailing CDC and local guidelines when I must venture out in public places. I will observe a 14 day quarantine if I learn that I have been in contact with anyone with COVID-19 and, if necessary, reschedule any sessions.
